“How do I get more Twitter followers?”
The question is just as old as Twitter itself. Ever since Twitter was created, and especially as it became established as a way for businesses to grow larger audiences, many people have asked this question. If you go to a business conference and hear a Twitter presenter, one of the questions that person will get is, “How do I get more Twitter followers?”
You may have a few hundred Twitter followers, a few thousand, or a large Twitter audience. Chances are you want more followers. Even the most successful people on Twitter explore new ways to get more followers. After being on Twitter for multiple years and experimenting with a variety of methods to get more Twitter followers, I came up with my own list for the three best ways to get more Twitter followers.
Follow targeted people who are likely to follow back. Many of the people I follow on Twitter also follow me back. Some of the people I follow never heard of me before, but when people get a new follower, they have a natural tendency to see who the new follower is. Then, they learn about who I am through my bio, see my audience, and see my tweets, and then they follow me.
Tweet often. I used to send one tweet every hour. Now I send over 100 tweets every day. Each time I increase my tweeting frequency, I have noticed my tweets garnering more engagement and more conversations taking place throughout the day. I use the bulk scheduler for HootSuite Pro to schedule all of these tweets. It allows me to schedule over 100 tweets in just six clicks.
Make your tweets memorable. Your reach is a decisive factor that determines how many followers you get on a given day. Your reach is dependent by the amount of work you put in to promote your account and the amount of engagement your tweets get. One of the most powerful, long-term methods of boosting reach is to make your tweets memorable. Memorable tweets are the ones that lead to followers returning to your tweets. Many of my retweeters are repeat retweeters who come back to my account and read through the tweets. If you want your followers to remember you, revisit your account, and get more engagement for your tweets, then you need to make your tweets memorable.
