Many people expect to function at optimal capacity without properly fueling themselves. A coffee every morning for ten years may not provide a person with consistent and healthy energy. Eventually, a decrease in the potency of stimulants like caffeine will occur, as the body receives less energy each time. Wholesome, organic eating and physical conditioning of your body will serve you best in the long term.
You can not get angry at yourself for a lack of vibrancy and connectivity with others if you are running on fumes! While this should not be an excuse for poor performance, you must resist beating yourself up if you have no physical energy. Skipping breakfast is debilitating. The body waits patiently for its morning nourishment, only to be left in the dark alley of lost promises. Caring for yourself, as well as for your occupation, is of the utmost importance.
Two strategies to nourish your body and act optimally are:
1. Invest the time to research the benefits of wholesome, organic food. There is a difference between genetically modified substances, which some people would argue is not even food, and organic sustenance. These differences may affect your body and occupational performance.
2. Eat three meals a day, and do not skip them. Why would you pull the carpet out from under your physical self by denying it breakfast, lunch or dinner? The body has a good memory; it will pull the carpet of achievement out from under you to return the favor.
